I dance to physicalize the ideas and emotions which escape rational thought or verbal processing. In dance, I find reprieve in the honest expression of my body, unfiltered and genuine. Dance serves to facilitate conversations between performer and audience, between fellow dancers, and between my own body and mind. It is a constant art of creation and destruction, the fleeting images leaving nothing to preserve. The dance is always now. I find such joy and purpose in sharing in these uniquely human moments in space and time.
I dance to empower, provoke, breathe, and love. For the sheer exhilaration of existing in an alternate reality- I dance to free my soul from my body, to reach other people.
